  I have only found 3 or 4 places in the Province with a breakfast as good. Knowing there isn't a deep fryer on site assures me it'll be home cooked quality. Hash browns here aren't deep fried. Great cup of coffee and witty but friendly staff and locals make for entertaining banter. Doesn't hurt that the last few kilometers ride into town on Hwy 7 (north) has great scenery. Hop on the motorcycle, bicycle, car and try this place. Keep on eye on the hours or call ahead to avoid a disappointing closed sign.

  Visited on our way from Halifax to Cape Breton and had a wonderful experience. The owners are a very friendly and enjoyable couple who obviously seem to love what they do and make you feel very welcome. Food was very good with different options like sandwiches, burgers and quesadillas. I had the smoked salmon sandwich with locally smoked salmon which I really enjoyed. Cake and coffee for dessert left us filled and very happy. Very recommended!

  We stopped here after seeing a roadside sign while on a motorcycle trip around Nova Scotia. We really enjoyed the great food, attentive service, and interesting decor. The menu of home-made foods includes many gluten-free options and a wide variety of drinks, teas, and coffees — and even soy & almond milk. If you're conscientious of what you eat, this cafe is a great choice. We loved everything we ordered.
